Berend Booms, Associate Editor
As the Associate Editor of Future of Assets, Berend Booms has created a destination for maintenance and asset management leaders across industries to share insights, spark innovation, and inspire meaningful change. Beyond his role creating dialogue on all things Enterprise Asset Management, Berend fosters Future of Assets community, propelled by the belief that the true measure of value in asset management lies in the connections people foster and the knowledge they share, rather than in assets alone.
With over 10 years of experience helping organizations translate technical complexity into tangible outcomes, Berend has become a trusted authority and is a frequent speaker at international industry events such as IMC and Maintec. Berend leads EAM Insights for Ultimo and, earlier in his career, led consultancy and change-management initiatives at Cisco Systems. Berend’s education provided a multicultural foundation that fuels his outlook; he holds degrees from the University of Oxford, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and Leiden University.
Most importantly, Berend’s role as a proud father of two is the motivation and foundation for everything he does. Outside of family life, Berend is a passionate reader, avid historian, and language enthusiast. These interests fuel his curiosity and his love for discovering how people, technology, and ideas connect.

Sarah Nicastro, the driving force behind well-respected thought leadership platform Future of Field Service, is thrilled to support the creation of Future of Assets. As Creator and Editor in Chief of Future of Field Service and Host of the UNSCRIPTED podcast, Sarah is known for her insightful articles, engaging interviews with industry giants, and commitment to building community for leaders to learn, share, and evolve. With more than 15 years’ experience creating compelling content, inspiring global audiences, and helping connect leaders in ways that spark meaningful moments, she is uniquely skilled to ensure Future of Assets brings actionable value to its audience.
Charlotte Wylde, Digital Experience & Social Media Manager
Charlotte leads digital experience and social media management for Future of Assets, helping shape how the platform shows up digitally and builds an engaged global community.
